5. SMS Messaging Terms
District 725 operates a mobile messaging program to keep members informed about union news and programs. By opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages to the phone number you provide.
- Opt‑In Consent: You may opt in via our web forms (by checking the SMS consent box), verbally with a representative, or by filling out a paper form. Consent is not transferable and is specific to District 725.
- Message Frequency & Data Rates: We send informational and event‑driven texts. We strive to keep message frequency reasonable and will not exceed 3–5 messages per day unless there is an event that requires additional notifications. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt‑Out & Help: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us using the information below. Opting out prevents further texts but does not end other forms of contact.
- Terms of Consent: By opting in, you authorize us to send recurring messages using an automatic telephone dialing system; your consent is not required as a condition of purchase.
- Record‑Keeping & Compliance: We maintain records of consent, opt‑in methods, and message delivery to comply with FCC and TCPA rules and to demonstrate proof of consent upon request.

We may update these Terms and our SMS messaging practices at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” Continuing to use our site or messaging program after changes means you agree to the revised Terms.
